Joint PhD project between NQCP and ITU

Announcement:

Professor Karsten Flensberg, NQCP, and Associate Professor Michael Kastoryano from IT University, Copenhagen, have agreed to co-fund a PhD project on the development of a general purpose tensor network simulation package for superconducting, semiconductor and photonic qubit platforms.

The tensor network formalism for simulating complex quantum systems is gaining attention due to a number of advantages in representing and manipulating many body quantum systems.

An aim of the PhD project is to use the developed tensor network package for simulating and understand intermediate size quantum devices for all three qubit architectures. The project is expected to start up this summer.
