Shingo Kono wins a Villum Young Investigator grant

ANNOUNCEMENT

A proud moment for our team: Shingo Kono has been awarded a Villum Young Investigator grant

Shingo wins Villum grant

Shingo Kono, leader of the Intra- & Inter- connects team at NQCP, has been awarded a Villum Young Investigator grant from the Villum Foundation! This grant, effective March 2026, will enable recruiting two new PhD students and one Postdoc and acquiring new experimental equipment.

The awarded project, called “Circuit Quantum ElectroMagnonics for Scalable Quantum Computing” focuses on a challenging phenomenon: implementing time-reversal symmetry breaking in superconducting circuits. The project addresses this challenge by developing novel hybrid quantum systems integrating magnetic crystals into superconducting circuits, unlocking new functionalities for scalable superconducting quantum computing.

We are confident that this grant will help our mission of achieving fault-tolerant quantum computing.
