The 2024 NQCP Retreat
In September, all of NQCP went north for a 2-day retreat in Helsingør. A highlight was the poster-session where each team presented their work. We also made sure to enjoy the beachfront location and the amazing weather for fun team-building activities.
The entire NQCP team, including Quantum Foundry, came together at Marienlyst Strandhotel for a couple of days for our annual retreat. The agenda included discussions of our mission and progress thus far, IP and innovation, data, security in quantum, and workplace culture.
We also had a presentation from Topsil GlobalWafers who presented on their company history and their unique ultra-pure Float Zone silicon process.
Before dinner on the first day, we held the very first NQCP poster session – all teams presented their work on posters. This was a format that we will definitely repeat, as it was a true highlight of the retreat for everyone to get an overview of their colleagues’ ongoing work as well as an opportunity to ask questions and go deeper on select topics.
To get to know each other better as a team, we did a bunch of social activities. Most of them outside in gorgeous weather. We played beach volleyball, kubb, pétanque, ran, walked, swam in the ocean, and did yoga.
Being offsite for two days allowed us to unplug from our regular work and connect, both to each other and to our overall mission. Now back at the offices and labs in Copenhagen, we benefit from these strengthened connections as we move forward with our work.
