Cold group-IV epitaxy for quantum applications

Silicon serves as the foundational material for virtually all digital hardware, with high-quality silicon layers traditionally achieved through high-temperature growth processes. In this presentation, I will introduce the transformative potential of cold epitaxy, which enables the fabrication of previously unattainable nanoscale and quantum structures with the highest material quality. This technique could open new frontiers for applications in quantum photonics, optoelectronics, and nanoelectronics.
