Building a superconducting quantum computer
I will present the research activities of the core quantum computing experimental team within the Wallenberg Centre for Quantum Technology (WACQT). Our research aims to build a quantum processor with 100 qubits and demonstrate quantum advantage by 2027. While several platforms have been proposed to build a quantum computer, our quantum processor is based on superconducting circuits and operates at millikelvin temperatures. I will discuss the challenges that we are facing and present recent results and performances of the 25-qubit processor, currently in operation at Chalmers.
