Characterization

The Team

The characterization team is the backbone of the data-driven research at NQCP. We deliver crucial feedback to the other teams through our extensive characterization, including (but not limited to) optical and electron microscopy, surface probe techniques, X-ray scattering, as well as electrical and photonic measurements at cryogenic temperatures.

In collaboration with internal and external partners, we establish standards for extracting relevant metrics, enabling progress tracking and correlative studies. Down the line, we aim to establish an enormous dataset of extracted metrics and implement machine learning to identify correlations between device performance and material parameters.

Our Collaborators

We have signed a partnership agreement with Danish Fundamental Metrology (DFM) to develop standardised measurement protocols and definition of metrics. The partnership includes sharing equipment and training students to promote the systematic data log of various structural, electronic, and photonic properties.
